Reiki/Energy/Sound/Crystal  Balancing Treatments
After a session, it is advisable to go home and relaox. This ensures maximum benefits from the treatment. Please follow the simple steps below: Drink plenty of water. Avoid caffeine or alcohol. Maintain a healthy diet.  IN ADDITION TO FEELINGS OF RELAXATION AND BEING UPLIFTED, OCCASIONALLY SOME PEOPLE EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING AFTER A SESSION:  Needing to sleep or rest. Headache. Feeling emotional.  Increased urination and or bowel movements.  Temporary “flu”-like symptoms.        These are all positive signs of showing evidence of a body bringing itself back into balance. It is also normal not to experience any of the above.  We strongly suggest you keep a journal during your healing journey to write down anything you notice before, during and after your session. It will be helpful to bring to your next session.
RF Facials No special care is needed after treatment although your practitioner may suggest some of the following:

  • Light application of soothing/moisturising lotions, creams or gels to the treatment area;
  • cool, moisturising mists applied as you feel necessary;
  • cool water rinses or ice packs applied to the treatment area.

mmediately after your Micro-Needling procedure, do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin rejuvenation. Follow these simple steps:  Day of procedure: No lotions, makeup or other topical products on your face before your procedure. After your procedure your technician may apply a  skin moisturizer, and or sun screen. You may clean your face with a gentle cleanser before bed.    Day 1: On the next day. Stay away from exfoliants or glycolic acids that are present is cleaners as these can make your skin very dry after the procedure. Be sure to use an approved SPF30 or greater sunscreen!  Days 2-7: Within two (2) days following your Micro-Needling procedure, you will notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. During this period, you may apply your regular skin moisturizer. You may clean your face as usual and apply makeup, as usual. Follow the instructions given to you by your  technician .  Please note that around the eyes, you may have a little micro bruising that may exist for three or four days. This can easily be covered with makeup.   Days later, your skin will start shedding. These are skin layers that would regularly shed a week later, but the Micro-Needling brings this skin to the surface sooner. During this temporary process, your skin will shed and be dry.   Days 7+: A week after the Micro-Needling procedure, most patients notice that their skin is smoother and more radiant.  Results vary, but usually a course of 1-3 treatments (maximum of 5, depending on the condition being treated) is typically recommended. If you require MORE procedures than this, you may have an unrecognized underlying medical condition and should consult with your provider. Of course, results may vary from patient to patient. Keep in mind that the healthier your body is, the better will be the results you achieve from a Micro-Needling procedure. Following your fibroblast treatment, most people experience a mouth burning sensation similar to sunburn which resolves after a couple of hours.

Depending upon your own sensitivity tolerance this discomfort may last a little longer. If you feel particularly uncomfortable anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen can be taken.(obviously ensure this is compatible with any other prescribe medications you may be taking)

As a natural healing response, it is usual for the treated area to become swollen especially around the more delicate areas such as the eyes.

Once again this can vary depending upon your natural rate of recovery; however, most people find it only usually last a few days.

In extreme cases, ( especially if client has failed to follow aftercare advice ),the swelling can last several days and may interfere with vision.

Anti-inflammatory medication and/or anti-histamine may help.
Clients often find application of ice packs not only suit but help reduce swelling.

Initially after treatment in for a day or so afterwards, there may be occasional weeping. This is simply plasma and is a natural healing response.

Is the treated area begins to heal, you will notice it’s drying out process, a brown/black crust develops upon the surface of the skin.

This simply flakes off after a few days (usually 3-7) but in some cases can take over two weeks.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels can help turn sun damaged skin into fantastic, radiant skin. This type of treatment helps reduce hyperpigmentation and improves skin tone while leaving the skin noticeably brighter and smoother. Once you’ve invested the time for a chemical peel, it’s equally important to have a good after-treatment plan to see the best results possible.

Hands Off

The main goal of a chemical peel is to “burn” off the damaged skin. When the dead skin starts to shed, avoid touching, picking or scratching it with your fingers. Let the dead skin shed off naturally. Don’t peel the skin off with your own fingers. Using fingers to remove the dead skin can lead to possible scarring.

Pull It Back

Help avoid touching the face and prevent breakouts by pulling the hair back off the face with a hair band or hair tie. Allow the skin to go through its naturally peeling process without accidentally contacting your skin while brushing back your hair. Touching the skin with dirty fingers and hands will only aggregate the new skin and may lead to breakouts. If breakouts do occur, don’t treat them yourself. Have your aesthetician treat them for you or just leave them alone.

Moisturize

After receiving a chemical peel, the skin will be sensitive. You do not want to use the same products or follow the same regimen as usual after treatment. The only two products you’ll want to use on your skin during the peeling process are sunscreen and moisturizer. Use a neutral moisturizer such as Aquaphor for the first couple days after treatment. When applying the moisturizer to the skin, be careful not to rub or scrub it in. Gently apply a thick layer of moisturizer all over the skin multiple times throughout the day, if needed. You’ll be able to go back to your regular skincare routine once the peeling process is complete, generally within a week of receiving the chemical peel.

Protect With SPF

You’ve just gone through the process of getting rid of damaged skin with a chemical peel. Avoid damaging the new, vulnerable skin coming through by protecting it with a layer of sunscreen anytime exposure to the sun is possible. Whether sitting by a window or being outside, you need to protect your new skin. Be sure to choose a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.

Let It Peel

Do not remove any of the dry, dead skin with any sort of exfoliation during the peeling process. All facial scrubs, acids and Clarisonic Cleansing Brushes are off limits until the skin stops shedding, usually up to a week after treatment.

Lighten Up

Dead skin loves dark clothing. To better camouflage the dead skin shedding off the face, it’s probably a good idea to wear lighter colored clothes during the peeling process.

Don’t Worry

It’s also a good idea to let people around you know that you just received a chemical peel. This way they won’t think something is up with you and your skin. Not only that, your friends can admire your new. Refreshed and glowing skin once the peel is complete!
